The organization Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has included Bidzina Ivanishvili in its 2025 “Predators of Press Freedom” list, alongside influential figures such as Vladimir Putin, Alexander Lukashenko, and Xi Jinping.
This list is part of RSF’s World Press Freedom Index, highlighting those who restrict media independence through various means.
The “predators” are categorized into five groups: political, security, economic, legal, and social. Ivanishvili is listed among those who financially undermine media outlets.
According to RSF, these figures limit press freedom through arbitrary legal pressure and financial control over media organizations.
