A father and son have been placed in detention on charges of assaulting a woman. The victim is the wife of one of the accused and the daughter-in-law of the other.
The father and son were arrested on November 19.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, in addition to the assault, the husband repeatedly threatened his wife with death, creating “a well-founded fear of the threat” for the victim. As for the father-in-law, the office reported that he assaulted his daughter-in-law in front of her young child, causing the victim physical pain.
If found guilty, the father and son face up to three years in prison.
