According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on November 11, a Turkish cargo aircraft crashed in the Signagi municipality, approximately 5 kilometers from the Georgian state border.

“An investigation has been launched under Article 275, Part 4 of the Criminal Code, which concerns violations of air transport safety or operational regulations resulting in the loss of human life.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs will provide detailed information about the incident to the public gradually,” the ministry stated.

Information and footage regarding the plane crash near the Georgia-Azerbaijan border were initially released by the government-run television channel Imedi, which reported that the aircraft was likely a Turkish military plane.
