According to Irakli Kobakhidze, any potential dispute arising from the contract with the Arab investment company Eagle Hills will be governed by British law. He stated this during a parliamentary speech in response to a question from Giorgi Sharashidze, a fellow party member of Giorgi Gakharia.
As is known, the contract with Eagle Hills is confidential. Therefore, its details are not publicly available. Kobakhidze emphasized that all key aspects of the contract have already been disclosed to the public.
Regarding the venue where a potential dispute between Georgia and the Arab company would be resolved, should any disagreements arise during the construction process, Kobakhidze stated that the contract specifies that any dispute will be addressed through arbitration in Zurich.
The investment agreement with Eagle Hills involves development projects worth $6.6 billion in Tbilisi and Adjara, which include the construction of new residential and tourist infrastructure.
