“‘Titushki’ attacked me, they were shouting: ‘You know why this is happening to you’ – participant of the Rustaveli protest”

Nugzar Kirtadze, a participant in the Rustaveli Avenue protest, states that on 4 November he was attacked near his home.

According to Kirtadze, so-called “titushki” were lying in wait for him near his residence.

He says that masked assailants confronted him in the entrance of his building, slammed him against the wall, and inflicted multiple injuries.

“They were shouting at me, ‘You know why this is happening to you,’” Kirtadze says.

According to him, the injuries were so severe that he briefly lost consciousness.

As the Ministry of Internal Affairs told Netgazeti, an investigation has been launched under Article 126 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to violence.
