“Trump’s Route” Is Beneficial for Georgia as Well – Papuashvili

“‘Trump’s Route for International Peace and Prosperity’ (TRIPP), initiated by the United States following the peace summit it facilitated between Armenia and Azerbaijan, opens new perspectives for the entire region and will help strengthen the Middle Corridor,” said Shalva Papuashvili, according to the Russian outlet Sputnik.

On August 8 in Washington, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the President of the United States, Donald Trump, signed a declaration, one clause of which states that the Republic of Armenia will work with the United States and mutually agreed third parties to define the framework of a communication program for the project implemented on the territory of the Republic of Armenia – “Trump’s Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (or TRIPP).

“It is important for fostering competition among them and for ensuring that the best conditions are offered to carriers, thereby making our corridor even more attractive. Competition only increases this,” Papuashvili said.

According to him, another route in the South Caucasus is an indicator of the region’s stability, which will attract even more investment.
